Product Overview
Zircon is a high-purity zirconium silicate mineral (chemical formula ZrSiO₄) renowned for its exceptional thermal stability and durability. It is characterized by a high zirconium dioxide (ZrO₂) content (approximately 64% by weight) alongside significant silica (SiO₂) content (~33%), with only minor trace impurities. These attributes give Zircon a very high melting point and very low thermal expansion, making it extremely resistant to heat and chemical attack.
Our Zircon stands out for its ability to withstand extreme temperatures without degradation. Its hardness and inherent opacity also make it ideal for enhancing strength and whiteness in ceramic materials. Thanks to this combination of properties, Zircon is a versatile material used across multiple industries, performing reliably under the most demanding conditions.
